As a Business Requestor, the Roadmapping Tool is where you submit product requests, track their progress, and understand where your ask sits in the pipeline. You will always know the status of every request you have submitted - and why it is there.
This guide covers everything you need to submit a strong request, follow its progress, and understand how decisions get made.
When you open the tool, select Business Requestor from the role selector and enter your name. Your name is attached to every request you submit and is used to identify you as the original requestor on any cases you own, so use a consistent name each session.
You will land on My Submissions by default. This is your personal view - every request you have submitted, in every status, in one place.
Click New Request from the top of the Cases view. The submission form has the following fields.
Request type - Select the category that best describes your ask: Bug Report, Tooling Enhancement, or New Build. Choose the closest match and clarify in the description if needed.
Priority - Your self-assessed priority: Critical, High, Normal, or Low. This is your input, not the final word. The PM will score the request independently. Be honest - marking everything Critical reduces the signal value of your input over time.
Business impact - Describe the impact this request would have if built. Quantify where you can: how many users are affected, what it costs the business today, what improves if this is solved. Numbers are more useful than adjectives.
Supporting links - Add links to relevant context: customer feedback threads, data pulls, related tickets, design references, or external documentation.
Attachments - Upload supporting files directly to the case, up to 5MB each. Spreadsheets, screenshots, and research documents belong here rather than in a separate email or message.
Once you submit, the form closes and your request appears in My Submissions with a status of New and a permanent case number.
